Story is, this car crashed into a pole at high speed in Cincinnati. Driver walked away. Any guesses?

Agreed... new Camaro.

The pole went down the passenger side... like a hot knife through butter. Looks like the driver seat was left intact...

Seems impossible that a pole could penetrate a car that far.. you'd think the bumpers, firewall, frame, etc... would bend and absorb the impact without literally ripping through.. crazy.

You guys have some damn good eyes!! It was indeed a '10 Camaro. I can't imagine how lucky and stupid the driver is to get himself into this situation. Anyone know what safety ratings the mulletmobile received?

More pics...

Looks like the pole went between the engine and wheel. The only resistance would be bumper radiator support, and A-arm. Lucky shot, not much resistance for a heavy car.

That is one hell of a telephone pole, It got hit that hard and its only leaning a little. I've seen pics and videos of telephone poles that have been broken by hits with way less force than that.

it doesn't look like a wood telephone pole. it looks more like one of these metal ones

It's like the driver saw the pole coming, and placed it perfectly.

I thought that to but most metal poles are light poles and are silver in color. Also, all the other poles in the pics look to be of the wooden variety.
