Ok, Planning on going w/ friend tmrw during lunch and getting a base dyno of the car b4 I turbo it. Guesses by WHP please. Think it's gonna be on a dynojet, which typically shows a little more hp than normal.

Specs:

89 SOHC 2.4L 240sx - Automagic (aka automatic) - base hp is 140 to the crank (this # was just for my friends who don't know 240's stock #'s). Current compression - approx 150psi across the board (new condition is rated at 170psi for the SOHC) Injen Intake w/ JWT Pop Charger (equiv to a Blitz LM filter - same design but carb legal) Unorthodox Racing Underdrive Pulley 2.5" Hotshot Header 2.5" Magnaflow Hi-Flow Cat 2.5" Trust SP catback Timing is set at stock (15 degrees) +/- 1 or 2 degrees.

Everything else is essentially stock, more or less.

Small exhaust leaks - 3 bolts are missing on head-> mani, and egr is slightly bent the wrong way trying to make it fit - found these leaks from sea foaming day - haven't spent the time to fix it yet.

And if anyone was wondering, I will be running 18x9" rims that weight 25lbs (just the rims) w/ 225/40 tires.

GUESS AWAY!

*edited to clarify some stuff.

if you mean it was at 135 at crank for your car when stock(not new), then my estimate would be 140 whp. 25lbs for wheels and tires? or just rims? that seems really light.

Thanks for the encouragement. I'd be lucky if I hit that w/ my base tune once the turbo's in.

O, I was only say 135 @ the crank for my other friends (sent this out in an email) who don't know the stock #'s for 240's.

25lbs is just the rim, sorry.

thats what Im thinking, but then again, he has an sohc. I bet he will hit 130 though, as long as the engine is in good shape.

even sweeter, haha - maybe that was w/ the higher compression sohc??? I have the 8.5 comp or what not.

I hope so. Well, the dohc is about 20hp more than the sohc, plus I'm auto.. so it seems right around that area 110-120 (hopefully). Anything above and I'd be a happy little school girl - not that it matters since a lot of it is going off, but at least I could be a little proud of myself, HAHA.

I guess to go w/ everyone else's guesses which make sense, 112whp. I'll shoot for 120.

For the later 89's and 90's they adjusted timing map slightly to make up.

125.4hp 137.6 ft/lbs of torque

And I'm sticking to it!

Reason being, my stock KA24DE automatic dynoed at 119.4 and 135.5, so figure with your mods, on the E, it'll be a little bit more

Thanks for the chart, YAY 140hp stock, sweet. .

Huh, so reg mpg is 25/20, not too bad. For some reason I thought our cars had better mpg than that. Now I don't feel so bad for when I was getting around 20-22 mpg driving around w/ just intake, YAY.

sssshhhhhhhh .

Moving on... "new updated" pics will be up in about a month or so once everything's finished.

The #'s here are significantly higher than my honda friends are guessing.

****using mental concentration to make my car 120whp**** haha.

We'll find out tmrw. This is fun .
