I read acouple threads about the head package, but they were all from acouple of years ago. Just wondering how many, if any people on here have used this kit. Ive read good and bad things, so its unclear.I have the E engine, and wanted a mild gain in the 200-220 range. I was considering a mild boost but im looking at other options, and this seems to be an alternative. Im not looking for anything crazy, just want to add alittle more fun to my DD.

This is the original post that got my attention.

gude racing head package... I saw their racing package for the ka24de, and was curious so I called

and they told me their head package includesintake manifold, throttle bodycustom camsport/polish on alotta stuff, don't really remember all the stuff she said

and also they said it'd give a 40% in hp increase...so I did the math, say I'm getting 130 at the wheels, that'd be about 52 hp increase....kinda hard to believe...

all of this for $2150-500(core)=1650... that's w/ shipping

I dunno it seems this is kind of hard to believe, any thoughts on this?

I researched a little a few years ago. I don't recall anything about a new manifold or throttle body.I'd be wary of hp gain claims that give you a percentage- that just doesn't seem right to me. Depending on the cams and how good the port/polish is, you could see gains in the 20-30 range. As far as the price- I don't think that $1650 total is impossible to believe, though if the originalt thread is 2 years old, expect that the price has increased.Anyway, it wouldn't hurt to call them and ask some questions.
