I hit my first curb....

so throwing a party to start taking it apart to see what busted.. if ur close free beer!

things to check.

1. some bar thing opposite side of tie rod broke at bolt.2. pretty sure i need new bushings. 3. (i wonder how much stuff i actually f*%ked up)

what else should i check?

it was just the front left wheel (whats that? understeer? is that when you turn the wheel from the bottom?)

as of now, a tow strap is holding my a arm from moving backward and the tire rubbing.

pretty sweet considering a tow strap withstood two more laps on the course, and 80mph down Cali's 99 for 2 hours.

my girlfriend laughed and told me i should be in a ditch for doing that, also said i should have bought that camaro instead.. that it somehow would have not broken anything. (yeah... right)

... you held the arm in place with a tow strap and drove it on the freeway at 80mph?

I'm at a loss for words. 80 mph for 2 hours with a snapped sway bar bolt and probably a bent tie rod? How fast did you hit the curb? You probably messed more stuff up than you think you did.

In other words you should have bought the camaro. Then none of this would have ever happened.

Pics of damage or it didn't happen.

But seriously 80 mph with a towstrap? Are you f***ing trying to kill yourself?

hit the curb at like 20mph... maybe less, just sway drifting and understeer into curb. im replacing the bar today, and i need to see if anything else is bent.

more pictures, as you can tell where the a arm sits in the cross member it got pushed back, seems like only the back one got bent, so i can probably heat it up and bend it back

and this thing broke and the arm got bent so i cant get the bolt out, so ill just grab a new a arm and rod from the junkyard.

haha, you should see my drifts

and while i was driving home with the tie strap...

literally every potwhole would cause my back wheels to pitch to the right,

so i was drifting the whole way home.

well....

scaring the s**t outta the people in the opposing lane.

that little propane torch is about as good as a cigarette lighter, your going to need more heat than that will give you...
