Mazworx has an adapter that allows the use of the Z32 trans on the SR. If the product is competetively priced, I'm sure it would sell.

only GTR's were 6 speed and it was only the R33 and R34 chassis of GTR. the product would probaily cost like 450-500 USD for the adapter plate since the Shifter dose not need to be changed the 300zx shifter comes out of the back side of the transmission where the RB transmission sits like the SR transmission you would just need a new motor mount and drive shaft the same it true for the MAzworx kits but we will probiallt modify the core transmission mount to work.

How different is the RB gear ratio's? Are they longer or shorter? I might definitly be interested for another SR project, especially if it will perform well for drifting. Let me know what you guys decide!

I would be possibly interested in the future, as i was condsidering the mazworx kit. However would you just be selling the adapter or could you put together a kit that contain the adapter, transmission(or good source), new mount as mentioned above along with a possible driveshaft. as far as demand, there are quite a bunchl up and coming high hp sr's in the states so this product could definetly fill the need for a good strong transmissoin, and be a nice alternative to the mazworx kit. You may want to post on freshalloy] in the advanced 240sx section, seems to be the place where alot more of the high hp guys are at.

I don't think its a good idea since RB25 5 speeds commonly go for $800-$900 IF you can find one. Now you have to add the $500 for the adapter plate, $300 for a driveshaft, $??? for linkages, shifters, mounts, etc.

The Mazworx kit is complete, Adapter plate, machine work, driveshaft, shifter, linkage, mounts, etc for $925. Now, you can get Z32 trannys all day long in the US from $300-$600. I got mine for $425 with 43K miles and a 1 year warantee.

The Z32 is just as strong as the RB25, the gearing is near identical to the S13, its readily available should something happen. The Z32 would end up costing less in the long run, and maybe even initially too. You know its a quailty products too, I believe their S14 is running one, and that car runs 9.43 in the 1/4.

I think you nailed it.

The price difference of the transmissions alone makes me heavily side with the z32 option should I ever decide I need to upgrade my transmission setup. And so much easier to source and less hassle dealing with importing them.

I'm wondering how the gearing would be vs. the z32...and I can only agree the z32 setup from Mazworx seems less likely to be a hassle should anything ever go wrong.
