gauge wiring

For those of you with guages, which 12 V source did you use for power?

I pulled my 2 gauges off of my stereo turn on wire. For the lighting i ran from my front left sidemarker.

I thought about doing that but I had one problem. At some tracks they require you to turn off the stereo. If I have to turn it off won't it also turn off the guages?

No..the wire running to the stereo is an ignition wire-

Are you guys referring to swapping out the existing gauges that display your speedometer and such? If not, do you have instructions on how to do a swap? I just bought the reverse indiglow for my s14 and don't have the service manual. Any info is much appreciated. thanks
