gauge light colors

I wanna change the color of my guages to blue. I am going for the black and blue look inside my car, seeing how my head unit is already lighted blue. does anyone know how i can change the light blub to a blue bulb? do they make blue replacement bulbs, or are they universal bulbs or what? i have seen little plastic universal covers for the bulbs, but other than that, i cant find a damn thing. has anyone ever done this before? how does it look? does it work?

any help will do.

Try a search...a few members have done this. Not a very easy, straightforward mod though.

Think about it...to get to those lights the entire gauge cluster needs to be removed. That's a lot of stuff...not a hard job, but very time consuming. You also run the risk of snapping of various tabs.

I'm not trying to discourage you from doing the mod, just have a weekend set aside to do the work. If you do a nice write up with pics, I'll hook you up with a custom title.

yeah i can understand it will be very time consuming, but i wasnt sure how hard it was to get to the lights after i have removed the guages cluster and THE WHOLE DASH!!!! but i deffinatly plan on getting this kit because i dont care too much for the stock orange color, plus i wanna get blue accents in my engine bay and im gonna put blue lights in my box.. once i get around to building it. anyway, i will have pictures of everything i do up once i get them done.. just give me time because i am going through the process of moving. but once i get my sub in, i will have my system set up so that should only be another week.
