gauge cluster didn't come on!

I was at my friend's house 'till about 1:55am and when i left and got into my car and started it up... my gauge cluster lights didn't come on! I have the hud, version but nothing at all came on. When i went to pull away my belts were squeeling like crazy. The only thing different about this night then any other night so far was that we had a mild frost. There was a little ice on my windows and a lot more on the rest of the car. Could these cold conditions cause some kind of electrical problem? Anyway, when i was halfway home the gauge cluster lights just turned on! I'm afraid that one day they won't come on and then that'll be it. Any suggestions?
