GTR just arrived now is time to ask questions...

Hello everybody... I picked up a R32 GTR motorset today . I got it from Dave at http://midwest-engine.com/ 3K shipped. Now I want to do a tune up to this beast ( T-belt, waterpump, plugs, ect.) . Part of me is saying dig in but I am kinda hesitant because there is so many parts all around it. So all morning I have been staring at it trying to learn it with the service manual. Anyways to the questions.

1)Are the tops of GTR injectors Yellowish? Mine are just wondering if they are OEM.

I took the timing belt cover off of mine planning to tear it apart. Then I saw new belt, looks like a new water pump housing and new silicone gasket around it and the thermostat housing. I stopped there.

Thanks bro. Did you pull the upper or lower t-belt cover? The 30mm crank pully bolt looks like a BIZnatch. That awd transmission looks like a several man job. Anyways I'll be gone for a coupple of days. Helping a good buddy pack and move. BTW cut and paste web addy to see pics.

the "adjustable ECU" is actually the "reset" for the ecu.. if you throw a check engine code, you turn that screw all the way clockwise, hten back, and the code dissapears

Thanks for the heads up pn the ECU. I had no clue. Got a clue on what these are? Looks like a BOV dump maybe??? looks like trash...

Then I found this piece zip tied to the back of the head. Looks like something to do with the oil filer cause that middle piece comes out and its threaded on the inside and out. Anyone have a guess as to what it is?

its an oil sandwich.. you can tap into that for oil pressure gauge, or oil for a turbo.. pretty usefull. It screws on to the block where the oil filter goes, then the oil filter screws on the other end... that black thing in the 2nd picture.. i dont know the exact size or what it looks like.. from other angles to tell what it is for.. is it hollow pipe?... like.. the 240's intake, its all messed up, bent, and angled, it could be the stock one from the skyline.

the black plastic piece is the bov cross over.

the twin bovs dump into that pipe, and it connects to the intake pre-turbo.

do you need a 25 oil pan and sucker...i got one for uber cheap....
