well, i am looking to get 500-600 hp out of my r34 gtr, on the stock internals, and maby stock turbos. any of you know the easiest way? i am thinking 100 shot nitrous oxide and about 450 on the turbos.

also, does anyone know of where i can find a good gtr tuner in the states? i am thinking cali, but thats still a lot of land. any thoughts would be greatfull. thanks

and one more thing, as far as the engine goes, what are the main differences between the 32, 33, 34 rb2dett? i assume they had to of changed at least some in the many years.

thnaks again

Ryan

PS. its in a 98 240sx. i am wanting to get into the 10s

I TOLD YOU IN A 240 YOUR ONLY IN NEED OF ABOUT 400WHP.....

THE R32 RB26DETT HAS AN OIL STARVATION PROBLEM BECAUSE THE OIL PUMP GEAR IS TO LARGE FOR THE CRANK. A TOMEI COLLAR FIXES THIS PROBLEM OR JUST GET A R33+ OIL PUMP.

THE R33 AND R34 RB26DETTS HAVE OIL STARVATION PROBLEMS UNDER HARD CORNERING.... MULTIPLE COMPANIES MAKE A OIL PAN BAFFLE KITS TO FIX THIS PROBLEM.

N02 WOULD HELP SPOOL THE TURBO QUICKEER BUT WHY GO N2O WHEN YOU CAN HAVE FULLTIME POWER FOR LESS.

YOU COULD OPEN UP THE HEAD, CAMS, UPGRADE THE TURBOS, TURN UP THE BOOST, FUEL INJECTORS, ECU TUNE/STANDALONE, SHOULD NET YOU ENOUGH TO GET YOU INTO THE 10'S.

NO YOU NEED TO GET A LSD, SLICKS, LIGHTEND FLYWHEEL, SHORT SHIFTER, LOWER THE STATIC WEIGHT OF THE CAR, AND PRACTICE YOUR DRIVING SKILLS.

Look at GTR-Shop's GTR they have for sale.

That buildup should be a decent guide for you on stock based turbos. I don't like nitrous either, but it's not my car.

GA HAS TWO OR THREE THAT I KNOW OF.

THE R32 HAS ITS OWN SET-OF PROBLEMS BUT IF YOU HAVE THE FUNDS A R34 ONE WOULD BE A BETTER CHOICE.

Hey Ryan, Your stock turbo's are a weak link. N2O is a good idea however, even if these other haters don't think so. A decent direct port setup would be sweet. I'd say 150 shot. You can have your stock turbo's ported and clipped, that will help a tad, but I'd suggest a set of GT2530's. Or a big single...I'm busy as ****e at the moment, shoot me an email, [email protected]

HEY DON'T GET ME WRONG I LOVE N2O TO HELP SPOOL TURBOS AND FOR THAT "OHH **** I'M LOSING MOMENTS" BUT I FEEL THE MONEY WOULD BE BETTER SPENT ON FULL-TIME POWER RATHER THAN REFILLABLE.

Where is Top Hat Performance?

...edit...

Nevermind, they're in Conyers. Is this a spin off of Unstable Hybrids?

We have a motor that makes 600hp at the wheels... no N20 and only 1.35bar of boost on 2540s... lots more left in it ;)

BTW.. for sale if anyone has the greenies ;)

Do you find the 2540's even worth the extra lag. I've heard from numerous 26 guys that the 2530 is a much better combo. Personally I'm a big single guy, I just like debating.

Oh, what cam profiles are you running on the above motor?

272deg.The 2540s will run to 2 bar.. it was only 1.35 as the actuators are only 0.6ar and were getting blown open.At 2 bar.. it would have run over 675hp atw.

I haven't looked at the compressor maps, I'm assuming the 2530 is losing efficiency at 2 bar?

Sounds like you need to open up your wastegate ports my friend. A full 2 bar will be impressive. The last GTR I helped a buddy build was boostin 1.4 and put down very similer numbers. He was using 2530's and 264's I believe though.

2530 is long gone at 2 bar.. the 40s gone also.

Nothing worng with the wastgate ports .. in fact the complete opposite. If the wastgates are to small, then boost will creep.. thats no whats happening.. we are LOOSING the ability to up the boost from 1.35bar as the 0.6bar actauators are not trong enough to keep the gate flaps on their seat.. exh pressure is blowing them off.
