hi im new to the forum, ive been browsing a few of the topics on skyline importation into the usa. i am not getting my hopes up to find one that is street legal so i am going to try to get a r32 gtr for track use only and just race it on the tracks. ive read that you can import any car into the usa as a track car as long as you have a letter from the company saying it was built as a track car? is that right? i was wondering if anyone on this site bought a gtr from canada and brought it to the states as a track car. any advice on how to go about doing this or how you did it. thanks

In short, yes, you can import a GTR into the U.S. for track purposes but you have to supply information on what racing series it will be competing in, and already be prepped to race before it enters the country.

Yeah, if you are going to track it, just find somebody selling one that either is for track only, or one of those sketchy "registered but not by Motorex" things that people are always claiming are legal.

They are completely legal if you don't drive it on the street, so go for it

I am going to check out their opperation on this side of the pond next month. But, if you buy from there, there are a couple of things you need to know about. Just read the information on the link I provided.
