I was just curious if the awd transmission is controlled by the gtr ecu or some external computer. If that is the case, do I have to use the rb25det ecu with the 26 motor when I run the rb25det transmission?

im pretty sure you need to use the 26 ecu because the 25 probably wont run the 26 very well, if at all.

The transfer case is controlled by another ECU from under the package tray in the trunk.

There are more parts to controlling the transfer case than the ECU too, there is a pump located on the rear crossmember and a reservoir located in the trunk.

Plus you need the inputs from the G sensor and the 4 ABS sensors to get everything functioning.

sorry to but in, but is that the setup for all of the GTR's? Were the R32 GTR's less complicated?

interesting, didn't realize the R32's were that complicated. I guess you are in for alot of fun with your swap.
