Yes, those are both very popular engines to swap into B13 and B14 Sentras. The BB SR20DET is more popular because of it's availability and price, however, the GTi-R engine is the more sought after one.

Yes, the Bluebird was AWD. And yes, the 91 sentra came with the SR20DE. However, the SR20DET from the Bluebird mates directly to the transmission in the Sentra (both being SR20's), which in turn is why it's such a common swap. If you have a SR20DE powered Sentra, you can swap the motor (not the transmission) out for the SR20DET pretty easily. You keep your stock SR20DE transmission.

The Pulsar isn't newer than the Bluebird. It came out after the Bluebird, but the Bluebird is still in production (with QR motors now) but the Pulsar is out of production.

Also, the Pulsar is another highly sought after engine swap for the B13, B14, and B15. However, the Pulsar SR20DET costs more due to it's individual throttle body's, stronger main caps, and stronger connecting rods. And same goes with the Pulsar when mating in a FWD car (like the Sentra). It must be bolted to the SR20DE FWD transmission that comes stock in the B13, B14, and B15.

The BB and Pulsar SR20DET's are AWD, but they are transversly mounted so they fit in FWD vehicles just as easily.
