GTA members, antenna help

Anyone in the GTA have experience replacing the pwr antenna mast? Looks like you need a special tool to remove the nut in order to get the mast out. I tried vice grips and pliers with no luck.

Any help appreciated.

Theres a special tool for removing the antenna, Ive seen it @ Napa but never bought it.

for got the name of that tool, but a small needle nose plier will work, there is two holes on the top of the mast where the needle nose can go in, and then turn, remember to use a rag to protect cars finish, its a pain to get off but patients is key

I need to buy a antenna too. Stupid car wash broke my antenna. Can i remove the antenna and maybe put one of this small ones that come on the new car in the rear?

Btw whats best place to pick one up. I went to nissan and they said 60 bucks just for the antenna.

My wife broke the antenna in a car wash (forgot to put it down, which is a MUST), I went online and found this place- great price. Already got mine.

Unfotunately, I got ahead of myself and tried to pry out what I thought was the remainder of the antenna mast ( the part with the cabling had already come out), when in fact it was the piece that needs to stay in the motor, so I now have to pull the motor out of the fender, take it apart, and fix it right. If just the mast is broken, they have detailed instructions on their site on how to fix it, and it should be pretty easy.
