completely agree. It is the best game, especially the new demo for part 2.

This game has helped me learn the basics of drifting, and really learn how to control a car. It is the closest thing to real life hands down.

i recommend everyone here should try it. http://www.liveforspeed.net it works best with a forcefeedback wheel.

Yes I can drift real well in GT4 but just can't finish.Start to straighten out and then it snaps.Through the whole turn I keep it perfect but as soon as my car is almost straight I lose it.Although I had a flawless lap one time with my viper that has 963hp.Just kept them tires spinning.Need to get a feedback wheel. Finally after so many months I got a 240 with pop up headlights.

Drifting in any GT game is easy, deceptively easy, WAY easier than in a real car where you're actually worried about crashing.

Just put on simulation tires and take all the electronic assistance off. You can make just about any drift method work like this except, obviously, clutch-kick, as there's no f**king clutch in the game. But braking, feint, lift-off, blah blah blah, it all works just fine. Just practice.

I've found it way easier in GT4 than in the others, because the wheel gives me minute control over everything, I was always overcompensating one way or the other in the older games.

EDIT: Best way to learn is with the steps I mentioned above, in a LOW POWER car, something that's otherwise stock. Don't fark with the camber, don't buy any parts, don't do ANYTHING but get the crappiest tires and no traction control/ASM. Use like an AE86, MR-S, Miata, S13, or an AWD car like an STI V, Evo IV, etc... You should be able to make clean drifts around every corner, direction changes, etc... The hardest thing to get down in a GT game drifting is a high entry speed, so learn on a slow car.

I can drift pretty damn good and all I use is the DS2, not gonna waste alot of money towards a wheel. Make sure you use the right analog stick to control accel, and decel. That gives you really good control instead of using the buttons.

ok first off all lets get this straight..........gt series 1-4 will never feel like real life..............not in drifting and not on track...........so get it throught your head.....

and gt4 is better then gt3 in the aspect of drifting .............why,because gt4 utilizes the throttle.....just like in real life throttle is very important.

some one posted the gt4 wasn't made for drifting.......well why would they put pro drifting cars?????hmmm..................

I did a search and found 2 games comming out later this year that are pure drifting games, and for US region. But now I cant find them... Anyone know of any comming out soon?

Oh yeah theres one other game - The Fast and the Furious, eeeeeek. If its as lame as the movie is going to be, ill have to pass on it and wait for the other games. (It will have 500 bodykits and engine swaps, who knows, they might do a good job on it..? but im sure theres gonna be a lame story mode and/or the game physics will make it impossible not to drift)

If there could be a game with physics and customization beyond that of GT3/4, and it was a drift only game... oh well, ill keep dreaming. Or better yet, find a safe parking lot in SoCal... hmm.. better keep dreaming.
