Drifting in any GT game is easy, deceptively easy, WAY easier than in a real car where you're actually worried about crashing.
Just put on simulation tires and take all the electronic assistance off. You can make just about any drift method work like this except, obviously, clutch-kick, as there's no f**king clutch in the game. But braking, feint, lift-off, blah blah blah, it all works just fine. Just practice.
I've found it way easier in GT4 than in the others, because the wheel gives me minute control over everything, I was always overcompensating one way or the other in the older games.
EDIT: Best way to learn is with the steps I mentioned above, in a LOW POWER car, something that's otherwise stock. Don't fark with the camber, don't buy any parts, don't do ANYTHING but get the crappiest tires and no traction control/ASM. Use like an AE86, MR-S, Miata, S13, or an AWD car like an STI V, Evo IV, etc... You should be able to make clean drifts around every corner, direction changes, etc... The hardest thing to get down in a GT game drifting is a high entry speed, so learn on a slow car.
