There's a lot of talk and a bunch of similar lists floating around...they all aim at 700+ cars.

The game's chief designer told an EVO magazine interviewer that there will be 1000+ cars available for inclusion in the game. This means that all documentation, photography, and sound clips will be on file for possible gameplay. I quoted that article a while back, you might find the thread via search.

If you read what people are saying in the gt forums, it sounds like the present lists are just wish lists, and there is no official list just yet.

you have to get a lot of the cars through online play though, i believe. i think they're gonna have like 400 cars on the actual game, and the rest you have to get online. but still, that's WAY better than the 200(maybe) that GT3 had.

XBOX Live owns everything!! and the whole point of that game is to drift around the turns to get more points!

I mean with all the cars in GT2, it still did pretty good. Ill still buy GT4 regardless. Just the thought of playing with all those cars. One of the minor problems with the GT series is when you buy the exhaust, your hp goes up and everything but you still see the stock one one the car. Have any of you 100% completed GT3? I'm 87% done, but right now Im setting up cars for drifting. Im working on my black Skyline GTS a S13,14 and 15, and a 180. Also what is your fastest car? My viper does 275mph and my escudo does 285-87mph. My friend's does 291-93mph.

I doubt that there ever will be any Ferrari's in the Gran Tourismo series, or any other for that matter. I don't think that you will ever find a Ferrari in a game where it would be side by side with another car that could beat it. The Ferrari guys have too much ego. There's no way they'd let their $250,000+ vehicles be featured in the same game that has a Toyota Vitz.

yea but xbox owns and they prolly paid ferrari a couple million just to use them. not to mention, the ferraris in that game were at the very top of the list(best cars in the game) which means more ppl that play the game think ferrari is the best car in the world. im sure ferrari has no problem with that. as far as setting cars up for drift, im all about sega gt 2002 for that. its so fun

I wanna play that but I dont have X Box and nobody I Know has it. So right now Ill just settle for GT3. Some of the cars I have just cant stay side ways around a full turn. I just have a little bit of tweaking to achieve this. It would be hot if a realistic drifting game came out besides Initial D, though.

you're not missing out on much, i have an xbox as well as ps2, and sega GT2oo2 isnt all that great, atleast not compared to GT3, project Gotham is still fun, but now that i bought NFS:HP2 for PS2, i dont ever play that either, it seems ps2 always one-ups em

i have 1oo% completion on GT3, and my fastest car (without cheating in anyway, or drafting, or wheelies) would be the viper 28omph

Do you really think GT4 will sacrifice realism? Do you realize that the creator thrives on building each car to as realistic or a specification as possible?

Gran Turismo series is known for realistic car design. What makes you think more cars will result in less quality? They catalogue specs, dynamics, and sounds of cars with precision... even greater precision than with the older games in the series.

there is no way they will cover every car's sound. especially the sound difference when u upgrade the exaust. im not saying that other games do but i would rather have a game with less cars that is more realistic than a game with 700 cars when i will only own about 100 of them. i agree that the gt series is based on realism but i think there are other games that are more realistic.
