quick question about the gt3071. Will that turbo bolt right on to stock mani. adn mr turbo elbow without any modification and clearance issues

There's always the oil lines having to be bent around and I'm not sure what a MR turbo elbow is. If you get the 3071r with the t2 housing, it will bolt up to the mani and turbo extension np. The t2's 3071r is a bad choice though IMO. You're better off with a 2871r.

I am shooting for 400-425whp without overworking the turbo. I had a 2871.64 and it wasnt enough for me. I was debating between the gt3071.63 or the gt25/40 .86.

You don't understand. The t2 back side is going to limit you to the low 400's anyway. Running a 2871r .86 ar is going to give you better spool than the 3071r and yeild similar (if not more) max hp. I haven't seen any good numbers with a t2 3071r. For your power goals, I'd rethink your setup and maybe go with a top mounted manifold to make your life easier.
