does anyone know the statistical differences between the T2 (bottom mount) GT30 and the T3 (top mount) GT30? i know the T3 flows better, but how much, and what are the spool differences? does the T3 hit full boost much sooner? does it make more hp at the same boost?

I take it your talking about the GT3071R. From what ive seen the T3 Top Mount version will give much quicker spool and a very flat torque curve. Ive seen charts of the T2 3071R and it totally sucked. Torque fell off at high rpm and it wasnt anywhere close the power to the T3 Top Mount. A turbo that size really needs the exhaust flow which is why it should be T3 .63 AR. Or go new twin scroll .78 AR 3071R.

I wouldnt cheap out on a log manifold. Hybridynamics, Alchemy, or Full Race FTW. You gotta pay to play.

Cool. Not sure if your on Fresh Alloy at all but there are dyno graphs of .63 T3 3071R and .64 T2 3071R. The .63 T3 graphs will blow your mind compared to the T2 ones.
