I know some of you are running GT28R's on your cars, I am going to be getting one in the next couple weeks to replace the smoking stocker that is o my car right now, but after reading through a bunch of install pages on these turbo's most of the people stated that the stock restrictor on both our CA's and on SR's when running a T25 is still letting in too much oil... I don't really want to buy the braided lines because I know you don't need to get them, but I also don't want to burn the turbo up after a year. So what did you guys put in for restrictors and are any of you running the stock restrictor for over 2 years without it blowing out oil seals, Really just making sure that I do this right so I don't need to go back and mess with any of this stuff again, this is my last running car so I don't want it to break down as well... And I will be getting the inlet and outlet adapters, I'm pretty sure the drain pipe needs to be bent for the oil, is there anything I need to do with the coolant lines special other than buy some new ones, I haven't taken the turbo off ever so I don't know how they connect or anything... but I know I need them to help cool the ball bearing turbo. Let me know guys, will be doing this after my next paycheck comes in.

Stock lines, never used any kind of restrictor (has one built in I am told?) and Its been years of trouble free operation.

I had read through a couple of threads that were showing that the stock restrictor on the S13's isnt small enough for the ball bearing turbos, didn't know if I needed to get a smaller one put in there or not, and its just a small bend on the oil drain right, like something I could do gently with a torch? I might still look into the restrictor thing more if nobody on here is running one, I read that its kinda hit or miss on whether it blows a seal from too much oil or not, seems like the restrictor is supposed to be half the size on a ball bearing as it is on the bushing turbos...

Whoa I'm sorry but last time I got all those gaskets, I got them from Auto Zone, and they were way cheaper than that. No wonder everyone reports it costing so much money. Something in the US used a turbo with those flanges (maybe not all on the same turbo/vehicle) and all you have to do is find out and buy them for like, $6. I'll die before I pay $14.95 for this:

Thats quite a bit of cash, you can reuse a bit of the OEM hardware and gasket.

anyways check out http://www.ATPturbo.com their prices are cheaper. Probably save yourself like $50-$100 maybe.

For the outlet compressor you can reuse the OEM elbow and just put like RTV on it, no need for a gasket.

To just save your self the pain buy some braided lines, no issues and its better then bending stock lines. Better to do it right the first time then re do it down the road.
