So I was looking at my car today getting ready to put on my GT28R and I dont see where I can hook up the waste gate to. On the stock T25 there is a spot on the turbo compressor housing where it gets a pressure feed from that goes to the waste gate but on my GT28R I see none. Where is a good place to get a feed off of? Maybe tap my hot pipe?

you could buy that, or try and make one? an auto parts store might have something similar you could use.

A way I did it was I took some vacuum line and routed it all the way to my intake manifold and T'd into one of the fittings.

You may ask why do this? Simple you're going to get pressure drop. So if you get the signal from the compressor the motor might not be seeing the same psi. So if the wastegate is set to 7psi the motor might be seeing like 6psi. Get what I'm saying?

Yea its not really a big deal but just a thought.

Now you may not notice this on a boost gauge but on my standalone I was able to see a difference since it reads in kpa. I tested both setups, my setup reached 149kpa and the regular compressor setup yielded 143kpa.

On the same subject, I have my wastegate feed set up similar to what The_Chosen_One is saying. My IC cold pipe has a nipple that I use exclusively to control the WG. I prefer it like this just because of he explained above, but it might be possible that any leak on the IC piping could overboost/stress the turbo more than the recommended?

Btw Nicksemianiw, did you ever ask Jez if you could/should use 550cc injectors with the HD stage 3 chip??

Also, kinda thread jacking and to keep the most information in a single thread related to the GT28R install process, are braided turbo Water Lines for the CA the same as the "SR20 Bottom Mount" lines/kit. Or are fittings to the block different in any sort such as the Oil feed?

Only FRsport list a CA18 lines kit that I've found (already have a braided oil feed tho) and I know that I could ask Takamotorsposrt directly but it was kinda pain to buy from them (remember I'm no in the US).

only on the 90* fitting on the block is different from SR rest is same. Except for S14 I believe.

Search for a thread I made explains everything you need.

Nice. Good to know.

TCO, I saw your Lines write up, which is awesome, but I can not get the pieces locally, so there is no point for me in trying to source fittings from the US and build it myself.

I already have taka oil feed line, but for example if the water lines were the same or similar, I could buy "Circuit Sports Stainless Steel Turbo Lines (Bottom Mount) SR20DET" for $120.00 instead of having to buy "FR Earls Motorsports S13 CA18DET Stainless Steel Turbo Lines" for $200.00.
