Will a gt28r or rs turbo be big enough to make 300whp on a ka-t set up. JWT website says 350hp for the gt28rs but I think that might be optimistic. What are the major diffrences between the r and rs? also, are there any non ebay, high quality T2 flanged tubular manifolds available? i don't know if i trust the ssac stuff, sry.

Should be, but boost will be kind of high. Why do you want a ball-bearing? They are great, but being as new as they are, they are overpriced. Why not just use a T3 or T3/T4 with a tight turbine trim. You will find that you save quite a bit and get good response and HP with low boost. This is good for a stock boost setup.

yes, i want a BB. I didn't know if they made a T3/T4 with tight enough trim to give good boost below 3000rpm. Is it even possible to get good response that low and push enough boost for 300-350ish?

A smaller A/R turbine will help it spool a little faster.

Also, if I recall correctly the difference is r = roller bearing rs= ball bearing.

I've got my eye on the t3/t4 at JGS with the .48compressor and I don't remember what turbine, but they say is spools quick. I 'm trying to figure out the whole trim thing, Is it smaller number less angle the blades have=faster spool? IS jgs the cheapest for that turbo or can I get something pretty close for cheaper that is as good quality?

R represents ball bearing in the garrett lineup of turbos. Ive got a GT28R on my SR20 and its a pretty nice turbo. I get 17 psi at around 3200 rpm and it pulls hard to 7K. Id estimate right around 300 whp, its not as quick as my KAT used to be but its nice, first gear is definatly faster and I still beat 996's, M3's, C5 vettes no problem even in a third gear run.

OFF TOPIC:

By the way Chezedik I made a p0ker table with your Avatar on it for some people that must have gone to your college, maybe you'll see it around. I work for a company that manufactures gaming tables like craps and p0ker and Im the guy that designs the tables for the World p0ker Tour tournaments and travel channel and stuff like that. Anyways the logo looked sweet on the table.

I got no problem with it, as long as the university and designer do not.

You mean .48 turbine? Our motors need at least a .63 turbine or high end will suffer. I've got a nice T3/T4 for sale.
