I have been leaking some kind of fluid all over my rack and pinion for some time and it would burn off on my exhaust. At first I thought my rack and pinion were bad and was just leaking powersteering fluid. But the other day I put on my new bov and drove it around the block to check how it was working and parked the car and had a bunch of oil on the ground. I put the car on a lift and found the oil return line from the GT2871R turbo to the block was getting rubbed on by the steering rod where the joint is to the rack. I replaced the hose with a slightly tougher one for now.

I wanted to find out what I needed to make the line steel braided so this hopefully won't happen again. What size line do I use? What kind of fittings?

Thanks.

I thought steelbraided hoses needed fittings and came in the -08, -10, -12 type sizes...
