Hey I was wondering if this is too small a turbo for this engine? I'm looking for around 370-400whp and as little lag as possible so this turbo seems like it would be a good fit. Does the RB would flow too much air for the turbo to handle and shorten the life of the turbo or cause it to fail altogether?

Well technically it's not too small, but yes. A GT3076r in a smallish trim will give you quick spool and hit that 400 range with ease on a good tune with supporting mods obviously.

Isn't that Turbo a T2 flange or does it come in T3 as well?

I haven't run the comp maps but I would assume that turbo due to the smaller turbine die out up top. But then again you are talking about the bigger housing .86.

I have no idea though.

I would go with that GT3076R as well, I think ATP turbo has that with an internal WG if you wanted also.

Yep, I've seen them in T3's as well. I still think even with the .86 it will die out, it's a better suited turbo to smaller motor's SR's, CA's, maybe an RB20.

Ya that turbo is sounding very appealing, I was reading about an srt-4 running one at 22 psi and seeing full boost by 3200rpms.

3071 will hit that power and work better with the RB, the and the 76's are more for lowish to mid 400s

well, ill be able to add to this a little bit in a few days. my car is currently at the shop, getting a GT3071R installed (.82 a/r), and tuned. along with some 650's and an AFPR. i have EMS, FMIC, 255lph and Fmic. stock log manifold and internally gated. im hoping for atleast 400, and very streetable.

next on the list, is some traction. these 225's i have now are going to be even more of a handful. lol.

Hmm for some reason I thought your wheels were actually a decent size. 555's will work for now then!
