what I have is a typical setup.

As for the price, you get sometimes find used ones on ebay but something like a turbo, I would want it brand new. I got mine from hybridynamics.com

The .86 A/R should suffice. You won't find one for much under $1100 so that should be your budget. Naturally you won't just be able to slap on the GT2871R and expect to get 350. You'll have to rework your fuel system. Getting AFR's tuned reliably is the key to a reliable engine, not horsepower levels (to a certain extent)

yeah for your power goals, you should be fine with .64 but I warn you, once you get up there you are going to crave for more power as I am now. haha. but .64 spools up nicely.

I would suggest the .64 A/R as well. It will support 400whp, and I really think that's pushing the practical, usable power limit in an s-chassis.

My buddy had the .86. It made full boost at 3700rpm and put down something like 351 whp with a super rich tune.

the .64 will make those numbers easy, and if you were running budget and wanted to add onto that motor i'd do this

Good 2.5" exhaust, get brand name but you can get it usedGT2871R .64 a/rAftermarket o2 housing, ebay will suffice for $8050lb msd injectorsSAFC II for tuningWalbro fuel pumpz32 maf

You should make those numbers right under 20psi with a good tune (i can hit that at 16psi), over 20psi will be pushing those injectors. Anything over 600cc injectors you will have to do a rom tune which will up your budget around $400

But there isn't a big price difference with the .86 and the .64, its a matter of boosting at ~3300 rpms or ~4000 rpms, and that all is based off what your driving for (86 for drag 64 for drifting, whatever its debatable)

good luck

go 3" exhausti would suggest going bigger than 50lbs/525cc incase you want more power in the future and you'll be using less cycle duty. probably 650cc would be fine.safc II could not tune bigger injectors than 550cc so you would need something to manage it. Enthalpy, emange ultimate, pfc... some cams would be nice but not necessary. it would improve your powerband
