i think they are the same thing almost. would go with the s15 unit for the money. and this is coming from the only person on the board using a gt28r, which you have to modify the exhaust manifold to fit.

I agree. I was looking at both of those for a while. The s15 is straight drop in.

You will still experience some lag with an S15 turbo because of the bigger rear housing. Just because it's ball bearing doesn't mean you're going to spool up just as fast as the S15 SR20. If anything you get an S15 turbo and attach the .48 housing off your T25 and you should have the best of both worlds (Spoolability and a little more efficiency).

yeah, i get some wicked lag with my gt28r. my car used to pull from about 2800 rpm, but now it doesnt go anywhere until damn near 4000 rpm. dont get me wrong, it screams when its on boost, but until then its good gas mileage city!

I dont think its that much. Dont be to much afraid of lag. 4,000 rpm is not bad for a powerful turbo and full boost, but I agree with boost_boy with changing the housing. You can do it ur self if you have some knowledge.

One more thing. With that power and quiker spool up, it might be tough to stick to the ground in first and second. Its all in your pref.
