GT28 Identification Help

Alright so i bought this GT28 and this manifold off of a friend for $100, and he says its an s15 turbo but I don't think it is. Im not sure how to tell, but on the side it says its a nissan gt28.

You have to look at the serial number on the turbo, that tells you what type turbo it is. Someone posted in a on here about what each number means but i cant find the post for the life of me. If you can show a post of the stamp on the turbo that would be more helpful.

Ill see if i can get a picture of the serial no. in a little while. The only reason why I'm not sure if its a Garrett is because it doesn't say Garrett on the compressor housing.

I got the serial number, its 05083203.

If it says GT, that's Garrett's identification for ball bearing turbos.

that doesn't look like a s15 turbo. mine says garrett across the front of it and some other stuff.

yea i think its either an s14 or an ebay turbo.

u can also look inside the oil inlet hole
if u see a chrome looking thing then that's the bb turbo

sweet i think its a bb then. I just hope its as solid as i think it is, will probably run this turbo for while.
