It shouldnt hit the steering linkage at all. Knowing from first hand experience because I sold you the manifold I had it on with my s15 turbo, and a megan outlet and it cleared the mounts, linkage, master cylinder and all no problems. One thing I do not have is pics of it on though.

Dont know if this will help you but I have a greddy turbo setup on my car and had the same problem but two spacers (flat washers) under the mount was all it took to give enough clearance for it too fit. Even with the external wastegate. Good luck.

Do you have the wrong engine mounts on it?

So if a CA is installed with KA engine mounts it sits a bit higher/lower than installed with CA engine mounts?Which would cause a tubular manifold combined with a t28+aftermarket turbo extension and downpipe not to clear the steering rack?

Shouldn't the turbo sit in pretty much the same place as it does with the stock manifold when you install an aftermarket one. If it didn't wouldnt that cause issues with line hookups and exhaust connections?

I'm pretty sure I'm using KA engine mounts and I'm thinking about getting a ssac manifold for my car, i already have a gt28r and it fits fine. I'll also be installing a megan turbo ext and downpipe(withflexjoint). Am I going to encounter any problems?

The engine sits in lower with the CA mounts. You also have to remember that ca's are out of rhd cars. So the master cylinder and steering shaft is on the other side of the bay.

When i compare the stock manifold to the xs one the flange on the xs manifold sits lower towards the ground. and yes I am using ca mounts. Ill get some pics of it and see if you all can help me a lilttle bit more.

You're correct. The SSAC mani DOESN'T put the turbo in the same spot as factor. BUT I've seen a GT28RS and although I didn't actually have it fitted in my car, I held it up there and it looked like it should clear.
