Very very slick. Also, pretty damn good times/traps considering the low boost and all :)

i know it that thing will spool slow since it is at a low boost, but when did it finally spool? and what are people seeing them spool at when the boost is turned up?

4000-4200rpm seems to be about the norm for 20psi or so.

Obviously it's dependent on external vs. internal gate, boost level, cams, intake manifold, etc...

It'd be cool if you could get it dynoed but it would prolly be a waste of money

you dumpin the wastegate out in the open huh? I did that for a while, got really annoying. If you do decide to plumb it into the exhaust system, make sure that you use some kind of flexible tube on the wastegate pipe, they like to expand and contract with heat cycling and something will crack if you dont. I learned the hard way, at one point it was pulling on my wastegate so hard that it started leaking exhaust from the base of the wastegate where it bolts on the exhuast manifold.

Is that a stock exhaust manifold that you welded the wastegate flange to? who welded it? I have not had good luck welding to cast iron.

looks good, get some gas in the beotch and see what she can do!

Garageworks did the work. It spools at around 4200-4400 or so. It's not bad, it's pretty loud but I think I like it. I might get a little muffler for the wastegate, but I don't think i'll want to have it go back into the exhaust. I hear that can cause problems. But it's pretty quick for such low boost. It runs about the same as my T25 did @10 psi at 5psi, so I guess it's about twice the flow at those low boost levels. It also keeps pulling till redline which is nice. I keep hitting the limitor now though, i'm too used to the drop off.

MMMM....I like. Makes me want to finish my GT25 plan. The weld just on the manifold looks killer. Nice layout and design of the wastegate setup. I like, I like alot.

Congrats.

I'll be ordering my turbo in the next little while so I can install it while the motor is still out of the car ;)

If you don't mind, where did you pick up the turbo and wastegate (and how was the pricing?)

CheapTurbos.com and Phase2 has the same price for the turbo, $1069. The wastegate you can get a lot of places. You're going to run an external? There is a groupbuy for it at groupbuys.com.. 220 (external tial 38mm)

Awesome...sounds like I'll jump in on that group buy :)

As for pricing, I knew both of them had it. Turns out full-race has it for $999 and jgycustoms has it for $989.
