Im looking into geting a bigger turbo and I have done some research, but no one seems to mention what the diffrence is between both turbos.

Im looking to get 1 of the gt's .64 because I want more power with a stock look. Im looking to get under 400hp on pump gas if posable.

My current mods for the turbo upgrades I have include HKS 550cc injectors, 300zx maf, FMIC, and taka lines.

I am very gratefull for ne information thank you

Well, you already make under 400 HP. Leave it stock. :D

I would probably go towards the GT2540R. It should be capable of 350-360WHP. In my experience HKS turbo's are always super responsive. I would expect boost to start very early.

you wont have to change your manifold, but you should take the opportunity to change your line to stainless lines...the hardlines are just a pain in the arse to work with...

both turbos are going to give you good response, you should try to find someone with either turbo. I think the only way to tell is getting in the car and experiencing it for yourself. Those turbos are popular so you should be able to find them on any number of cars at a drift or autox meet. but its too hard for us to guess what will suit your preference...

While I don't have experience with either of those turbos, I do have a HKS GT2530 right now. The housings are pretty much the same with the differences being the wheels. I'm only pushing 10 psi. I hit full 10 psi at about 3500 rpm and it pulls strong all up to redline. It even has more of a kick from 6000 rpm and up. Must be my VTAAAK yo, jk. I'd imagine the GT2540R to be pretty similar, but with an even better top end.

Garrett GT2871r .64 housing

it's the only option for a sub 400, plus 300 hp car
