GT Turbo Oil and coolant line question....

I had a problem last week with my GT2871R getting hot on the way to the track. I just want to know an easy?? way to check my oil and coolant flow through my turbo. I don't drive the car but maybe once a week and have been scared to drive it since my turbine was glowing when I pulled over on the interstate after 10 miles of low boost driving. Is that normal? It was very dark when I 1st popped the hood and I have never seen my motor in the dark. Especially after running 75-80mph for 10 miles. It was glowing like a cigarette lighter.
