They finally put it on the Top Gear's test track and the result is crazy. Faster than Carrera GT, Lambo LP640, 911 GT3RS, and same time as Ferrari Scuderia

^Wrong. West Covina Nissan in California just got 2 in and sold both. 40k dealer markup. Aim for around $115k out the door.

If you could buy one right now for 69k, I'll give you 70 to buy it.

I'll go check one out at the Orange Park dealer, maybe. I don't want to ever go near the Coggin Nissan one. They tried to sell me a used 2004 RX-8 for the price of a brand new one, the nerves. An email to BBB fixed that.

Replace that CAT back and gain extra 30HP.

I got excited about this car all over again while watching that Top Gear clip.

If Clarkson says that it doesn't feel like a videogame, then it doesn't, IMO. He's the source.

I'm actually not surprised that it was that quick, nothing about this car surprises me anymore.

I'd like to see where he reviews the Evo X though, as I can actually borderline afford one of those, unlike the GTR.

he reviewed the evo X and STi in the first episode of this season. evo X turned out to be slower than the STi around their track. i'll be downloading this episode when i see more seeds. anyways, 40K markup is about right for the amount of them that are at the dealers............

evox is a pig guess they tried to make it more of a road car like the Subaru is to get more sales or something.

The problem with the GTR's pricing is that because so few will be made and because the MSRP is so low to brag about performance/dollar, none of the dealer markup goes back to Nissan to cover the engineering costs to financially justify future generations of the car.

Nissan should have priced it at 90k, in line with what the market will pay and how it performs.

I got 300+kb/s last night...

Anyway, I was surprised that he reviewed it that favorably. He's one of the only reviewers who has said that the car is exciting beyond a techno-geek standpoint. That's good to hear.

The dealers had to mark up because they had to have specialist to repair the GT-R which cost in training as well as pay raise. They also had to have all certified equipment to do the repairs.

So 40K markup comes down to like 30K or so afterwards. And most don't expect to sell so many at each location, with the economy going where it is.
