So I just got back from a trip home to see the family. Nice long drive from upstate NY to Long Island...then to Connecticut. Just after the Throggs Neck bridge, I notice a sweet looking Nissan in my mirror...couldn't tell what it was at first; I thought it was a 350Z with an aftermarket front bumper. Then it comes closer and I get goosebumps....it was a new GT-R!!! Wow, what a car!! You don't see many of them on the road...in fact this was the first one I've seen out of the showroom. Absolutely beautiful car!!

Better start saving now.... ;)

Local guy got the first 2012 Black edition, I haven't seen it on the road yet though.

Apparently a White version of the Black Edition available as well, girl around Charlotte had it I believe.

Black audi r8 passed me this week on the way into work in CLT...
White r8-rs was parked downtown CLT last Thursday night in front of the Epicenter.

Is that an Audi with a V8? I had one rev on me the other day. He had loud pipes and it sounded GOOD!!! At first when I heard it I thought it was a Challenger.

Had my 80 year old mother in law in the car with me  not that I would have raced him anyway. :nono: It is funny....I was trying to drive so slow and careful with her in the car cause I know that little car was probable scaring her. She bitched about my cornering...I wanted to tell her that she ain't seen NOTHING. :naughty:

A few Audi's have V8s. The R8 is the mid-engine one (with optional V10).

Becki, she's your mom. She probably knows more about your car antics, not to mention other stuff, than she's ever let on.

Oops, mis-read. Huge difference. I'm sure she's made up more stuff about you in her own mind than she's ever let on.

It's all relative. You and I are of an age. I'd probably see the MIL as an old lady, you as a babe.
