So like many others, I really want a GT-R (R35) but I don't got the cash right now. I'm thinking in like 3 - 5 years, I should be able to get one. Do you think Nissan will keep producing GT-Rs in the next few years or will they stop production? Would the price ever drop to 50 or 60K or would Nissan jack the price up or would they lower the price to stay in competition with the new Acura NSX that is coming out? Thanks.

It is very rare that a car ever drops in price over the years. Usually they go up a little bit every year because of inflation. That, coupled with the fact that the GT-R is already extremely underpriced, I think you are living in a fantasy world to think one will ever drop below $60k, unless you look at a used one in a few years. And even though, I wouldn't count on it.

I suspect as they start puking transmissions left and right prices will drop.

You'll most likely be able to get a used one for the 50-60 range you're looking at.

For that kind of money, you could buy a Motorex Skyline and it would be much more reliable than the R35 IMO.

Asof now, you can get a new GTR at MSRP. I've even seen some priced below MSRP.
