Ok, so I'm on my second SOHC KA in this car, and I am just about ready to kill the darn thing, lol. My gas milage has been going down, and the other day, the car started to run reeeeaaaaaally rich coming home from work. I still had the extra engine that blew the headgasket, so I pulled it's fuel injectors, pulled the fuel injectors out of the engine in the car, and put the best 4 in the running engine. all the o rings were fine. It ran better, so I floored it to 5.5k or 6 k rpms just to check Now the thing idles like a top fuel car, but when it is driving, the thing doesn't do bad at all, just alittle random hesitation here and there to let me know whats wrong. argh. I need to find a SOHC engine fro free somewhere and just rebuild the damn thing and drop it in my car. anyways, help a poor college student out, lol.

Hmm, I put in a z32 one like 6 months ago. I guess I'll get another tommorrow, and try that.

The injectors may not be the only reason it was running rich. When was the last time it had a good tune up (plugs, wires, air and fuel filter, etc)?

Check the MAF and o2 sensor, they could be a problem. Mine was idling real high for a while and I cleaned the throttle plate with some TB cleaner and that stopped it. You can adjust the idle speed - disconnect the throttle sensor harness, then turn the idle speed screw.

Hmm, I dunno about the plugs, this is a used engine, and I didn't tune it up like I should have. I used my new plug wires from the old engine, but I think it has the old plugs... New o2 sensor though

Have you removed the AIV? If so do you have all of the vacuum lines closed?

Yep, it's been removed, and I checked all the vacuum lines, though I will go check again. I am having a devil of a time getting the fuel rail to not leak now though, lol.

clogged cat? Well... you know there's an easier way to check if an injector isn't running correctly... just unplug the harness and listen for a change in RPM's. You said something about a random hesitation? Does it kinda jerk? You may have a short or two in one of your plug WIRES. Are there any codes in your ECU?

The fuel rail is leaking? Are your o-rings alright?

I guess not, I got some from Napa, but they were only the top ones, and they were slightly too big. And now my extra car has left with someone else for the day. and I missed class. and will miss work. argh.

Here is the part number for the kit that I put on my 1990 E. Includes all of the rings.

That is for the Seal Kit, not just the one O-Ring.

Hope that helps someone else.

Yea, went to Nissan, paid $38 for all 12 (ugh), but it did run. Something is still not right, still running rich and alittle rough, gets worse as the car warms up. But it's driveable. Now I have to figure out the driveability issue.
