OK im leaving for lunch today... going to the parking lot and suddenly i hear a bang, I turn around and here is this girl, whos daddy gave here a Ford F150 special edition recently. she turned the wheel and the side of the truck hooked onto the front driverside of this mercury and she drove over top of it... OVER TOP OF IT she drove over top of the hood of this car completely destroying the merc and only a few scratches and a dent on her truck...

People the next time you see a new driver with a new truck of SUV remeber this... for god sake that could have been a kid she just rolled over...

I was almost killed on Monday. I approached a red light, as I was about to come to a complete stop it turned green, so naturally I began to accelerate into the intersection.... out of nowhere this as$hole in a dump truck flies through the intersection.... through a RED LIGHT!!!! Had I not slammed on the breaks he would have driven right through me. The lazy prick didn't want to stop and figured he could safely run a red light since it was green 5 seconds before..... I would have beat the ever-loving snot out of this guy had he actually hit me.... and I survived of course.

I know... it's got nothing to do with your post... except it is a little bit unnerving to share the road with ignorant divers in HUGE vehicles.

LOL nice avatar masterman....

Maine it would be quite hard to type that last post had you not survived... :)

I see what you saying tho... they have to realize they have size and mass over everyone else and instead of driving even more crazy, they should be driving more conservatively

      Stupid SUVs/trucks/minivans, sorry soccer moms, you all get VW beetles when I'm president b/c I can't stand getting cut off by your stupid gas guzzling, car killing POSs, especially when you're all on cell phones or doing your nails or whatever you do when you're in a car except drive, which oughta be your #1 priority. I'm sick of looking out for you, keeping a safe following distance from your bumper that sits at my windshield level, being blinded by you using your high beams when they're entirely inappropriate, and being cut off by one of your overweight, underpowered, polluting brethren, and the next time you do it, I'll not only hit your stupid vehicle, I'll get out of my vehicle, and drag you from yours, beat you until the police arrive and then appear to be giving you CPR as somehow, you "accidentally must've hit your head on the windshield and started bleeding and ended up unconscious"

Maine,The sad thing is, they don’t want to stop because it cuts down on fuel consumption and they can get to their next stop on time. Pretty sick if you think about it. I'm afraid if the dump truck hit you, you wouldn't have been able to kick has arss, cause you would be in the ICU. If that were ever to happen, I suggest getting a very good lawyer and sue the hell out of the company.Peace.

Very true..

I seriously considered tracking him down and having words with his boss. But it was such an intense and adrenaline filled experience, that I don't recall what happened for the few minutes following this near death experience. He was seriously flying through the intersection without a fuc#ing care in the world! I keep wishing I had been just 1" closer to the truck. It would have ripped my entire front end off leaving me plenty of opportunity for a REAL good lawsuit! But.... then I say.... hey, why temp fate?!!!

So I'm driving on a conjested small Jersey highway (although they all are conjested). Fist a Mountaineer cuts me off (just think, a vehicle with the word Mountain on it, diving into a traffic-filled two lane highway). I slam on my brakes, give them the finger, even though its nighttime, yell at them in my car like they can hear me. So now this person is tailgating the vehicle in front of them, hitting the brakes constantly.

I get over a lane, and I'm at about the rear quarter on the suv...The Mountaineer slams on the brakes, nearly rear-ending the SUV in front of them...As the brakes are slammed I pass the car.......suprise suprise, some dumb b**ch talking on her cell phone. I hope she crashes into a concrete wall.

LOL i do that too, even if they cant see you or hear you it still makes you feel better.... :)

But this is my point... people who drive these cars are mainly moms or children who are inexperienced in driving these vehicles... i mean think about it... a teen gets his g2 normally thinks they are invinsible, speeding around, blowing through traffic... now give them a 2 ton SUV, i can only imagine the mind set they get...

Some idiot in a dump truck took up a right hand turn lane and the middle lane at the same time today when i was trying to make a right hand turn?

Do they think they own the road?

For god sakes what i would give for a glock to shoot out his tires with...

one of my friends who is a girl, spun out in her lifted jeep wrangler w/ 32's, hit a tree, of course it was wet outside. People really need to learn to drive in the rain too, especially with RWD.

I also lost my Scort GT to a plow truck taking a right turn from the left lane.... right over my hood!!! That was the fastest car I've owned....I like my 240 more... but the mid 90's Escort GT's had a lot of potential, and mine was built pretty well.

No, sorry it was a private company not municipal. I did get a decent settlement. I got more for the car than it was worth, including the money I had invested in mods. I got a nice ‘pain and suffering’ settlement and I recovered lost wages. They were also gracious enough to pay for my rental truck while I shopped for a 240sx, and obviously my emergency room visit was reimbursed. Unfortunately or fortunately (I’m not sure which) there was no damage to me beyond a stiff neck for a couple days. So no huge personal injury lawsuit! But like I said, I don’t like to temp fate, I’m glad I’m healthy!
