I got my HKS Hiper installed like a month ago ( I know I know, its easy, but i didn't have the time ) and the gasket between the cat, and the new cat back piping blew, and it made the exhaust really loud and kinda ricey sounding. So I bought a gasket that looked very similar to the old one, and put it on.
Now I'm hearing the leak again, and I put my hand by the seal, and lo and behold, its leaking AGAIN! WTF!? I bought the correct gasket this time, so it better not blow again, or I'm gonna stab someone in the face with a screwdriver.
Should I put anything on the gasket before I bolt it on? Like oil or something? Some kind of sealant? Or just put it on the way it is and torque the sh*t out of the bolts?
Thanks,Nick.
