Ok so I was driving home from a friend's house on a Friday night, and a state police officer pulls up beside of me at a stoplight. It had been raining that night, and my tires are terrible in any sort of adverse weather, so I had been driving about 5mph under the speed limit the entire way home, which might have drawn his attention. Anyhow, I brought the car up from North Carolina in November, and its been parked in the school's student parking lot since then, so I've gotten it registered, but haven't managed to get a front license plate mounting kit (don't wanna just drill into my front bumper =P) and I don't have a va state inspection yet. So the one time I'm actually driving the car I got pulled over for improper equipment, the officer said the license plate in my windshield didn't cut it, and that the city inspection sticker needed to be put on asap. I have been planning on getting the inspection done right before I drive home for the summer, and I can put the license plate on whenever. I just really want to know if this is one of those offenses where if I fix it before my court date, the fine is taken away? I'm not sure which those are in va, but I know some improper equipment charges can be taken away if they're fixed in a timely manner.

Hehe I'm not pissed at the guy for just wanting to pull me over, just curious if I can get out of the ticket charges by fixing the problems =)

In CA we call those "fix-it" tickets, you basically get it fixed, then pay a 10 dollar or so processing fee (the liscense plate thing). As for not having the inspection, just get it done as soon as you can. :)

Aye I'm going to get it done before I leave to drive home from school (hopefully this week) va inspections usually run in the lofty price range of ten dollars or so :pface

i got a fix it ticket in new kent and i just paid the fine its a 50 50 gamble if the judge is in a good mood or not plus if you are going to just fix it compare the price on the brakett to the cost of the ticket

nissan wants a lot for that front plate brakett

I didn't look at the price board at uwi like an idiot, but none of the 240's they had (5 of em!!!) had a bumper much less a front license plate mount lol. So yeah, 240kid, can I see some pics? And let me know what you decide!

Well there WERE a few bumpers, but they seemed like they had wrapped around trees and the such...
