Considering that humans have only been accurately recording major earthquakes for 5000 years and the Earth's geological clock stretches to 4 billion years....there is simply no basis in this "theory".And a land mass moving 30 degrees in 12,000 years? It's called horrible map making dumbass.Little late for April fools...

At a time in our history, everyone knew the earth was flat.

At a later time we all knew that the earth was the center of the universe.

So I'll concede that we may now know everything about our rock's history or how it works, but uh, I have one question.

Where in the blue f*** has all that extra mass come from? Are you serious? Scientists figured out that the earth gains a bit of mass every year through solar radiation and absorbing dust and gas, but that a f***ton of mass. Seriously. Did anyone think of the conservation of energy in all this?

I don't think you're qualified to shoot this one down the way you just tried to.

There are several theories going around right now explaining the obvious climate shift that happened in Egypt and the surrounding area about 7000-15000 years ago which are much harder to believe than this.

Dude, it's obvious. The worlds population has increased from less than 1 billion to nearly 7 billion in 300yrs. The average person is now over weight, so I have to conclude all that extra mass came from.

That has to add up to trillions of pounds. Soon we'll be the size of Saturn!

How qualified do I have to be to read a f***ing science book or journal. This guy is saying entire land masses are shifting at meters per year. Come on...

My 2 cents of global warming and the loss of our magnetic poles and ozone is the fact that we use billions of tons of metal for contruct our everyday lives. We're taking from the core and it's losing it's spark.

Yes, I ignored this threads origin.

I found that website when I was looking for the video clip with woody harrelson from the movie 2012

http://vodpod.com/watch/191387...lypse

The movie had a sliver of truth with Earth Crust Displacement theory. Just thought it was funny...you guys are too serious.

Krimson, I think Mellow's math is wrong.

(RAH)² (AH)³ + [ROMA (1+MA)] + (GA)² + (OOH)(LA)²

R²(AH^5) is not RAH RAH AH AH AH(RAH)² (AH)³ should be (RAH)² +(AH)³

[ROMA (1+MA)] should be (ROMA)²+MA

My wife shook her head and told me what a waste of time it was to be redoing the formula as she was cleaning in the kitchen... I vacuumed!

Some thoughts on the matter:

A): Dropping Einstein's name is a great way to get lend credit in the eyes of plebs, but anyone with a brain will know that Einstein was wrong (in many cases stubbornly, arrogantly wrong) about a great many things. He was adamantly opposed to the ideas that have become modern quantum science. He also did not like the idea of a Universe with a definite beginning or end, which is now a commonly accepted scientific "truth."

B): The internets are FULL of pseudoscience that is dumbed down in wording to make it seem like it makes logical sense. Most of it falls apart like an '80s Hyundai once exposed to any real scientific scrutiny.

C): My dad is a professional geologist and I'm definitely curious to see what his reaction to this idea would be.

Your sense of scale is out of scale. The earth is MASSIVE (on a human scale). Even with the seemingly endless quantities of metals, stones, and other construction materials we extract from the earth, we haven't even made a pinprick.

All of the really useful metals that Humans use aren't even made in the earth. They come from asteroids or from supernovas. SO that theory is wrong.
