Ok so you guys all have the ground from your aftermarket headunit going strait to the body right? well i got one of those universal adapters to hook up to the factory harness and then to the headunit harness... after litteraly 1 yr of my battery draining i finaly realized that the universal harness has the negative prong on the connector connecting to a blank slot on the factory. basicly NO GROUND!!!!! so i finaly figured it out, no more dead batteries. am i correct with this all???

not necessarily, but your headunit will operate better, and not ground through the brackets and antenna. You may still be drawing more amperage than the alternator can crank out to the accesories and recharge the battery, so the battery slowly gets discharged and eventually deep-cycled.
