High guys/gals,

I've got grounding kits designed for the G35, FX35, 350Z, and Altima. Would any of you be interested in one?

One of my family members has an 03 QX4, so I can have the prototype done as early as this weekend.

What's the benefit? I can't say exactly what it will do for your QX and Pathies, but this is what it has done for other vehicles:

Improved fuel economyImproved throttle responseHigher power and faster revving engineBrighter headlights (like you guys need that ) Cleaner, louder audioSmoother shifting transmission (Autos) with less hunting

I'm not sure how many of you are into the performance aspect of your vehicles, but I'm sure the transmission, fuel economy, and audio, would all be applicable.

The link in my signature will take you to the Fab Marketplace where you can find more information regarding the kits. Pricing has yet to be determined, but will likely be around the same price as the basic G35 kits.

No thanks on the Pathy. Hell 1/3 of mine is Herculine with the front bumper cut up & no rear bumper. They're usually not to cooperative with offroading, but do you have anything for a '94 Sentra (I am going to start fixing up the wife's POS)?

These kits are pretty solid. 4 gauge, super flexible wire with solid copper lugs and shrink wrap.

I've got some interest in doing a G20/Sentra kit. I'll go start another thread over there.

Anybody else?

Nice kit!

Redoing the grounds really does help the electrical system. Its one of the basic fundamentals of car audio (for those who didnt know)

The three most important cables: 1) alternator positive to battery positive, 2) battery negative to chassis, and 3) engine ground to chassis. Some people replace the factory wiring; others add additional cables to the factory wiring.

I have been meaning to do the wiring myself, i got 4 gauge just layin around but no time!!!

Adding to the factory wiring (parallel) is kind of pointless since the electricity will flow through the path of least resistance- the shorter thicker wire.

Thanks for your input.

Thanks a lot bro

Actually, unless you have all of that equipment, it's not a fraction of the cost. It's MORE than the cost

20ft of wire @$1.50/ft=$3020 Copper Terminals =$20+Package of heat shrink tubing=$2.50Large Cable cutter=$15 (the cheaper ones)Crimpers= This category varies signficantly. The ones at the local electronics store that are big enough to accomodate 4 gauge wire go for $75. They have a smaller one for 6 gauge that goes for $35. I've seen them as high as $200.

I'll just stop there....Total=$102.50 and we haven't gotten to labor or figuring out where the suckers go.

The Big3 will help, but I'm talking about extensive grounding. And no, they aren't just for show

I don't think factory grounding is that bad that after paralleling the added grounding, most current flows through the new grounding wires. I just throw in a number: say the new ground is half the resistance of the factory's; the old ground still carries 33% total current...
