I've recently done a 5 speed swap but I grounded the starer. After the swap was done, the car doesn't want to crank. The relay clicks but the engine doesn't turn. However, if I ground the starter, the starter spins freely and doesn't engage anything. Any idea as to what the problem could be?

Check the spot that you grounded it to. Check to battery. And check your work. You could have done something wrong.

Sounds like something is goofy with the starter or solenoid... If the relay clicks that means the firing circuit from the ignition is ok...

There may be a neutral position switch you need to check.
