Exactly. People seem to forget that. Do all Catholics support what happened during the Crusades? No. Just like like how not all Muslim's supported the happenings of 9/11.C-Kwik wrote:Terrorists are terrorists because of their actions. Not because of their religion. Its not like we haven't had Christian terrorsts as well. That they justify it with religion is like saying christians support racism because the KKK supports their beliefs about race using the bible. The bible is full of things that can be and has been grossly misinterpreted to justify a means. Hell, different subsets of Christianity exist because of varying interpretations.
I agree. I don't think this would have been getting nearly as much flak if it were Christians putting something up, and I think that's wrong as well. People are arguing that we would essentially be building a "terrorlst recruitment center", which is just plain stupid. I completely disagree with that line of thought.C-Kwik wrote:I wonder if there would be nealry this much press if it was a christian church that was going to be there instead. Based on replies here and videos of some of the people who are protesting this, I doubt it.
Another reason I think no building of any sort except a memorial should be put up: we wouldn't be having a debate on who's a terrorlst and who's not, only where a statue could go.
