I have the same problem (more of a nuisance actually). '06 Altima 2.5SL.I get zapped every time I get out of the car and touch the front door to close it.Rather annoying. My other cars (all Nissans) don't do that. I might invest 5 bucks in one of those anti-static strips that hang down from under the car and touch the road. Not very pretty, but it might help.

Yes, my 05 Altima used to do the same thing. I didn't do anything to solve the problem, it just stopped on it's own. However, I did notice that it seemed to have stopped right around the time that I installed my HID kit and perhaps mounting the ballasts under the hood and onto metal may have decreased its frequency. Buzzman's solution could work, but def isn't pretty, as he said, and it can potentially fall off while driving.

Simplest solution - close the door by touching the window pillars where it's the soft touch plastic - no charge should be present since the pillars are insulators and not conductors.
