Hey I h ave seen some impressive #s put down by the hyperground wires. 5-6 on a civic, 2-12 on a wrx on the dyno.do any of yal have them on your cars? Can any1 tell me what exactly is it that gives the power increase

it grounds the engine better than the stock wire...i'm sure you will barley see any gain at all...you prolly got those numbers off of an ebay auction-

I'm callin Bull Shnikey. Any hp gains would be negligible. Save ur $ and get and intake. If you wires were flowing so little electricity that it would cause a major drain on the alternator, your wires in question would either get hot, or melt. BUT, if you wanna make your engine bay look nice, that the way to go.

actually i have a kit from japan called hyper earth (hyper ground system) by sun auto. and what i did notice was a smoother idle, better cold start ups. if it did any hp/torque increases like it claims...i didnt feel it, because you cant really feel 1hp you know. anyways, i recommend it, but do it with speaker wires..works the same.

i've heard about these i don't know if they work all that well but i have seen in magazines that they have added some pretty decent numbers on the dyno...

in turbo( a car mag) they gained a max of...3.9hp on aerio, 2.1hp on a s2000, and 15.3hp on a rx-7 twin turbo

i don't know if this is true but for around 100$ this ain't bad

I spent mabey 20$ on mine for a 4awg connection to the terminal then to the chassis and from there it goes to the intake mani and the right side of the head (left the 10 awg factory chassis to left side of the head in place and tapped the 4 awg over it and to the main chassis ground point). I also shortened the chassis to bat by 3" and the chassis to intake by 60% thus reducing resistance....

I used a quality terminal and high strand ofc 4 awg wire with solidly crimped terminals on the ends... I had the 4 awg to ground for a while as its a first step in car audio. When I added the others I saw now real hp increase, just like stated I saw a better idle and slightly (probably not noticeable to many many people) smoother rev.

Youll gain 50% of the theoretical hp increase just from removing the paint under the ground connections alone.

Oh and for the bling i added some surplus bought SS braided loom and heat shrink for the main grounds (7ft unexpaned)at a whopping 4.00$$$. This was factored into the 20$ price tag, from the surplus store, with the 4awg wire, gold plated bat. and ring terminals... :)

Was it worth 20$ not really, considering my 13$ (including paint) self replicated nismo powerbrace (or enigmatic industries tension rod bracket brace hehe), and 11.33$ subframe bushing washers / spacers (I put in sat) made 100000% more of a difference.

Can someone list the ground points on the 240? I know one is between the head and firewall, back passenger side of the head.

And if you spend $100 you're crazy, just buy the smallest gauge # you can to do the job, same thing. Although when they sell the gorund kits usually they advertise 99.99% pure copper wires, but I doubt there is much difference. Grounding is nice to have, it smoothes idle and the whole rev range typically. I doubt any noticible hp is gained.

s14brent: Are you talking about that 22AWG speaker wire? If so, that will not work near as well, get somehting like 00-4 AWG. If you're going to do it, do it right.

no way do i mean 22awg..that'd be just ignorant wouldn't it. i got my kit from SEMA 02' convention here in las vegas and they sold it to me on the last day for 60 bucks. its the Gold $120 one, so i thought i got a steal. but yeah 4awg will do the job.

I found a ground wire from the heatshield to my cat on my 90.

heatshield is gone now. I figured the ground from the head to the firewall should be good enough. it is new.
