Hey I just bought the Max Ground wire system kit for my 1996 KA24de. I want to know if there is anyone out there who has this kit installed on their 240 so i can get some real feed back on it.

Someone else already has... search buddy.... and sometimes that means google and other forums - it's been discussed a billion times... literally.

I'll help you out:

waste of money, you could have gone to a car audio place and spend about 15 dollars on some low gauge power wire, spent 6 dollars on terminals, and another 3 on shrink wrap and made yourself a nice grounding kit for less than 30 dollars. the only difference with grouding kits is the wire they used, as in strand count, nad materials used.

Well, if you really insist, from a member on FA:
Aero_Deck wrote:I do not think they are worth it IMO. All you need to do if you have an older car like a B13 that could benefit from a better ground is use one of those braided Taylor ground wires you can get from Summit Racing. I have the Sun Auto kit on my B13 and I cannot say that I noticed a difference. I do believe that they do not work well with lightweight drycell batteries. I installed a Hawker Genesis 10lb battery before the ground wires and it never gave me any problems, then after the ground wires, my battery would drain consistently. So, I disconnected the two ground wires I had going to the battery - terminal and have not had any problems since. I kept the others that pigtail around the engine intact though.
He has the Sun Auto kit, which is basically about as high quality as you can get.

And if you really want to know what the real quality kit does, you are going to have to spend $80 doing a before and after dyno - that's the only true way to know if it helped aside from the butt dyno/psychological factor.

The 240sx has a sufficient grounding system on it already and you usually don't notice a difference in any gains. I bought one of the HYPERGROUND kits when it came out and was not really impressed with it. The only reason I could ever justify another one would be if I had some massive audio/video system set up in my car.

Quality grounding kit... that's rich. I guess their wires are just so much better than the competitors. They use SUPER METAL or something to make them.

Man, you probably buy monster cables for audio stuff, too.

one difference i notice while testing a 4 wire hO2s and a single wire O2s on a dso with propane enrichment. when reading the 4 wire o2s response was way quicker and the single took so long with dso you actually can see the difference. fyi both were good working O2s.

a ground is a groundbut alsoa better ground is a better ground.
