It's 93 240 with an eclipse deck. I hooked up the harness and went to install it and noticed it was arcing on the bracket. I didn't hook up the antennae cause I didn't wanna listen to the radio, but then I did and it stopped arcing. Do I have a problem somewhere?

You do not have a problem! Since the 240 does not have a ground lead in the radio harness, it receives its ground through the antenna and the chassis of the radio. So when you touch the metal bracket to the metal mount, it completes the circuit and arcs a little. If the antenna is plugged in, then it is already completing the circuit and won't spark on the bracket. It's just like when you connect the ground on your battery when the 12v lead is already connected...... it will spark a little.

I would ground the deck using the ground wire from the radio to the car chassis. On most adapter harnesses there is a ground wire to connect the radio to but there is not a ground wire in the factory harness. Just connect the ground from the radio harness to chassis ground.
