Ground in trunk

I know that some people here installed amps/woofers in their trunks. I just wanted to know where exactly did you connect the ground cable? My dad does not want me drilling holes in my car, but if there is no place where I can ground decently, then I guess I'll have to.

there might be something under the carpet in the trunk...like a bolt or screw or something...i did the samething to my 240sx but i didnt really care about the car so i just ripped the carpet off. other then that i would say to run another wire to the hood...there should be plenty of places to ground it there. or search google...im sure there is plenty there too.

I know of a bolt in the trunk which holds down the rear seats. Would it be alright to take off the paint and ground it here?

hey,

I had the same problem finding a good ground and i ended finding a good one. If u flip left hand portion f the back seat forward (assuming ur mounting the sub on the drivers side) you theres a hold in a bracket ( i think its what connects the seat to the car you can use..i just got a nut and bolt and sanded away the paint with the dremel and it works great..It might be a little tricky getting the nut or bolt to tighten down (youll see what i mean ) but its do able. I wish i had more detials but i did it a while ago and i forget exactly... but check it out ..it should work fine.

I'll look at whatever I can find. I am most likely setting up the amps on the right (passenger) side of the trunk and the sub on the left side.
