Has anyone had experience with this brand? My friend is telling me to get these, because I already have KyB AGXs and I was thinking about raising the car a bit plus changing the springs. (The reason why I want to raise my car is because the kit I want makes it so low)

If anyone has had experience with this Brand please inform on your opinion about them. I know everyone says, just get Tein or buy a complete full coilover setup, because I'm gonna go into autocrossing, but I'm still open to other ideas and trying to planning out, how much money I need to save for this, while going to college and stuff. :D

I've got the GC/KYB setup on my car. No problems. Won the Southwest SCCA Divisional championship in STS this year:)

im wondering the same thing about ground control. i got a friend that can get me the ground control complete damper kit. adjustable coil-over springs, i think 10 level stiffining on the struts, and upper camber plate. he said i can get them for $1100, with $100 down and pay whatever i can whenever i can, i think theyre supposed to be around $2000. but i was thinkin about the apexi ws damper kit for $1200. but if ground controls worth it ill get em. plus theyre black and polished so theyll match my car real nice.

"but i was thinkin about the apexi ws damper kit for $1200" I wouldnt buy the WS setup unless you dont race at all, its not siff enough, and doesnt prove anything but heigth adjustment.

for 1100 dollars, I would get a set ot TEIN coilovers, not just the sleeve and shocks, PBM setup, but thats a personal thing.-chet

I bought it already modified so I don't know what the drop from stock is. I have the fronts all the way down and the rears low enough to level the car. The GC camber plates are not Solo II legal by the way.

Yeah, it's probably about 2 inches. I can't get my floor jack under the front unless I drive up on 2x4's first. No problems with the KYB's. I've put about 30k miles and 12-15 autocrosses on the car.

That's really just whatever feel you like. There are only 4 positions. There IS a difference between full soft/full hard but it really doesn't seem all that drastic to me. I run the fronts full hard and the rear full soft. That is mainly to try and minimize inside wheelspin on corner exit and I'm too lazy to adjust for street driving.

hey im assuming you got the kyb gr-2 struts then, they are prettyt much just a factory replacment sturt (not performance oriented) they will easily blow with lower around 2 inches or more. so id just go w/ a 1.75 in drop. If you want to lower more sell them and shoot for some tokico or kyb agx struts.

The GC "kit" is 4 sleeves and springs. The $1,?00 kit would include KYB AGXs. I have a setup based off the GC "kit". I bought my AGXs from JCWhitney w/ a coupon(less than $300 shipped), and bought the sleeves from Coleman Racing (good aluminum stuff not cheap), 2.5" Hypercoil race springs ($55 each) from Speedway Motors (I run 450lbs. in front and 300lbs. rear- too harsh for autocross, great for track). I would recommend Cusco adj. front camber plates and rear pillow ball mounts, Tein and JIC also have them available.

Honestly, you can get good suspension parts for our cars at a reasonable price. "Stock" (BMW, Z06) cars running Nationals in Solo2 spend $5k for custom valved shocks ONLY!! Koni yellow inserts customed valved run at least $300 each corner for us- cheap in the competitive racing world.

sts76- Do you plan on running at Nationals or any Tours? Did you use Azenis last year? What other mods do you have? What car was in 2nd? I run RockyMountain region and STS is VERY competitive.

I probably won't be doing much this year due to finances. I used Azenis until Nationals. Then I took Hankook up on their offer of 2 free sets of tires. I ended up like 40th out of 50. About the only other mod is a Hotshot header and a cat back exhaust. I have a rear strut tower bar that is mainly used to attach the shoulder harness to. In the SW Div series 2nd place was a late model Volvo turbo. I did get beat at 1 event by a 2 driver Subaru, but they didn't go to any other events. I beat the other Subaru's and some Integras, Civics etc.
