I've been looking into purchasing G.C coilovers here the past few weeks. What I like about them is you can choose your spring rates. I also like the fact that it's still in the form of a coilover and can lower the car to a desired stance. I am going to go with KYB AGX adjustable damping shocks as well. I want a stiffer suspension, but not something that is 6kg and 4 kg than stock, I won't use it all to it's potential and really don't want to be bouncing around town. Let me know what you guys think.

tein basic will be something u should also look into as the price b/w the setup u talk of and the tein basic are just about the same i think. with diligent shopping im sure u could acquire a set of tein basics for a decent price. u wont be able to adjust ur dampening but at least u'll have a matched shock to your spring. im sure somebody with gc's will chime in hopefully.

i have the agx's with ground control coilovers....Not a bad setup, wish i had something a little softer, but it is nice if you like curvy roads.

just about any decent matched shock/spring set or cheap coilover is morefunctional than a g/c setup imo. I had g/c on a car a few years back andthought it was the suck.

my beef w/sleeves is the bottom bracket cannot move, so you reduce your suspension travel. If you have to use them i'd say pair them up w/some konis because they are not affected negatively when lowered, besides the posibililty of bottoming out, plus they are more tolerant to different spring rates. And kyb's suck on the rear, way underdampened.

Huh? The type of strut you use has no bearing on whether or not your suspension is negatively affected by over-lowering. You will get too much camber and you will **** up your suspension geometry regardless of the type of shock you use.

^^Notice how i never mentioned suspension geometry or the suspension itself, but the shock, or dampner. Unlike some shocks, Konis are not position sensitive so they will work properly anywhere in their stroke range providing they are not bottoming or topping out.

First thing I thought when I saw this title was the G.C. Advanced Design coilovers. Which is said to be one of the best.
