Looking at Dunlop FM901's, Bridgestone RE750, and Pirelli PZERO Nero's, I wanted to get some opionions about these tires. I'm planning on using these up front for track and drift events, in a 205/45/16 size. Some rain drivability is a concern, and this is an s13, stock KA, with a pretty much stock suspension and an LSD to be instaled soon. The FM901's are cheapest, but have a 200 tread wear, the lowest of the group. Also, I've heard they have a less stiff sidewall than other tires. The RE750's are more expensive, but have a 320 wear rating. I know chet loves the PZero Nero, and the price is only slightly more than the RE750's. I might consider some other tires in a 205/50/16 size (S03 PP, P6000, Azenis Sports), but this is what I've come up with so far. How long have these tires lasted for people? What differences in performance will these tires give? So far, I like the looks of the Pirelli Nero's, but I really want to hear some input. Thanks.

I would rate them as follows for traction and handling:

Pirelli P Zero Nero

Bridgestone Potenza RE750

Dunlop SP FM109

The UTQG tread wear numbers are only valid within the same tire brand. The Bridgestone will be the best for wear but the Pirelli has the best handling by far. Here's a like to our test results on all three tires:

Grant, I wish Tire Rack would post ambient temperature when tires are tested along with basic static camber of test vehicles.

For us folks who like data.

Plus get Infiniti to provide you with a G35.

It's amazing they don't see the sales benefit in having a G as the test mule on your site.

Thanks for the reply. I think I am going to just end up with ES100's all around, as I want consistancy in the handling. Also, has Yokohama given any word about bringing over the neova? Another tire I would love to see is the bridgestone RE-01.

I can call yokohama, but I doubt they plan on bringing it over..unless its gonna repalce the AVS sport(which is kind of getting 'old' in design and materials)-chet
